What the free practice includes
All four sections
Reading, Mathematics, Science and English & Language Usage, drawn from the same bank as the paid course.
A rationale on every answer
Why the correct option is correct and why each distractor is wrong. Not held back for paying users.
A score breakdown
Results by section and topic, so the set tells you what to study rather than just giving a number.
Timed or untimed
Sit it against the clock to test pace, or in tutor mode to learn as you go.
A short practice set is a sample of your work, not a full assessment of every skill on the exam. One difficult passage or a cluster of familiar Math questions can move a small-set percentage substantially. Look at the questions you attempted, the reasoning you used, and the time you spent before deciding what the number means.
Choose the practice format for the job
| Topic drill |
Repair one skill, such as identifying evidence or setting up a percentage calculation. |
| Mixed practice set |
Recognise which approach an unfamiliar question needs, across the skills you have reviewed. |
| Longer simulation |
Rehearse sustained concentration and pacing. Check the format and access available in your account; free practice does not imply unlimited full-length exams. |
How to use your first set
Sit it timed, mixed across all four sections, before you revise anything. A diagnostic taken cold is worth
far more than a high score taken after a week of cramming, because it tells you where you actually stand.
Then read every rationale, including on the questions you answered correctly, since a lucky guess and real
knowledge look identical on a score report.
A practical first-session routine
- Set the conditions. Choose a quiet time, close your notes, and avoid messages if you are measuring your starting point.
- Keep track of uncertainty. Record guesses as well as mistakes, since a correct guess still needs review.
- Review the reasoning. Identify the skill behind each answer before moving on.
- Plan the next check. Choose one skill to revisit and schedule a fresh set after reviewing it.
If timed work feels overwhelming, begin with an untimed set so that you can identify the concepts. Add timing once you can explain the method. Learning a process and testing your speed are different tasks, and combining them too early can hide where the problem lies.
Create an account, try the available TEAS practice, and review the reasoning before choosing what to study next.
Try TEAS practice
Keep an error log you will actually use
A short error log you can return to
| Topic |
Reading evidence or percentage calculations. |
| What went wrong |
The answer was plausible but unsupported by the passage, or the percentage base was wrong. |
| Corrected rule |
Identify the supporting sentence; use the original value as the percentage base. |
| Check again |
Choose a date and fresh questions so that familiarity with the original answer does not hide a gap. |
Do not copy the entire explanation into your notes. Write the decision that will change your next answer. On your next review, try to apply that decision to a different question. If the same error returns, go back to the underlying lesson rather than collecting another large set of similar mistakes.
What it is not
It is not the real exam, and it does not predict your score. Live TEAS items are secure and copyrighted;
ours are written to ATI's published blueprint and formats. Treat the result as a map of your weak areas,
which is the thing it can genuinely tell you.
The TEAS 7 study guide
covers every sub-content area ATI publishes, and the
cheat sheet
has the formulas and high-yield facts worth memorising. Both are free and need no account.
What to do after the free practice
Choose your next step from the evidence. If the concepts are unfamiliar, use the free study guide before adding speed. If your work is accurate but slow, rehearse one timed section. If you want more practice or longer access, compare the current plans and their included features. You can keep using the public guides without purchasing a plan.
For the real exam's structure, consult ATI's TEAS exam details. Our practice questions are independent preparation materials, not official ATI test items.
